Executive Director MAOT
Richard was the Executive Director of the Maryland Association of Orthopaedic Technologists for the past three years. He was not only instrumental in making MAOT a well known and established association, he was also a avid supporter of the NBCOT. A man with a very strong and lovable personality whose medicine of choice was laughter. He is survived by his wife Stacy of 32 years and children Scott, Josh, and Marci. Rich will be greatly missed by all of us and will be remembered in our hearts and minds.
A Memorial Testing Sponsorhip will be established by the NBCOT in his name to honor his contributions to the profession of Orthopaedic Technology.
Julianne (Julie) Kane

Julie spent much of her professional career in the field of orthopaedics which included working for Maine Coast Orthopaedic Associates. She was the first woman to be elected President of the New England Society of Orthopaedic Technologists (NESOT) and authored several articles published in the National Orthopaedic Journals.
Julie lost her courageous battle with breast cancer at her home on October 30, 2010. She was 57 years old. Those wishing to pay their respects are invited to send a donation in memory of Julianne Kane to:

Rickey Henderson, loving husband of Cindy Henderson (President of NAOT). Rickey supported Cindy in all aspects of her career and gave her unending love and support throughout her NAOT Presidency.
While Rickey was not an OTC, the support he showed as a spouse to Cindy and to our profession will be greatly missed.

Fritz Gamble was one of the founding fathers of the National Association of Orthopaedic Technologists. Fritz was also one of the original vendor representatives that helped NAOT get started when it was still the National Federation of Orthopaedic Technologists (NFOT).
